The General Biology Beta Program is now available to pre-order!
We are grateful to everyone who has been encouraging us in this project. This project is the most highly anticipated textbook Novare has published. The entire production team hopes that your students are blessed by this book and endowed with an excellent education in high school biology.
Please read the following closely.
This is a Pre-Order of Novare’s Beta Program
General Biology is expected to be complete and available for purchase in the summer of 2020.
The Beta Program for General Biology is offered for those who wish to use a soft cover “beta” version in the 2019-2020 school year. It contains the full book, chapter exercises, and a provisional glossary. It contains full-color illustrations and graphics, and will uphold Novare’s Mastery-Learning paradigm. The beta version does not contain an index and has not undergone the rigorous review process by a team of experts that all Novare books receive.
How the Beta Program Works
For the purchase price shown on this page, customers receive:
- the unedited softcover beta version
- the completed hardcover book when it becomes available
The beta version is priced near our cost. It is available ONLY with the Beta Program, not separately. The final textbook will undoubtedly receive many edits—from misplaced commas to minor word changes to structural revisions within a chapter.
The editing process never fails to reveal numerous deficiencies and errors. The process produces improvements to the lucidity and flow of the content in nearly every sentence. Obviously, the beta version will not have the benefit of this process. Customers who use the beta version should be aware of these limitations before purchasing.
What About the Resource CD and Experiment Manual?
The Resource CD and Experiment Manual are available for pre-order as separate products. We will supply quizzes and tests for the first 2 or 3 chapters in August so that you can begin school. As more are developed, they will be sent out; these will be developed early enough to stay ahead of where you are in the book. We expect the entire CD contents to be complete by Christmas 2019 at the latest.
Likewise, 1 or 2 experiments will be distributed in August. The remaining experiments will be made available as they are composed and formatted.
The current plan is to ship the beta version of General Biology close to August 1, 2019. The completed hardback will ship immediately once they are in print. This could be before the end of the school year, but most likely it will be the summer of 2020. Those who purchase the Resource CD and Experiment Manual will receive them as soon as they are complete, which will be well before the end of the 2019-2020 school year.
